PROJECT IN THE COURSE mobile computing AT M.SC. INTERACTION DESIGN AT CHALMERS, 2015.
The refugee crisis that are present today creates the needs of many new digital solutions. However, we found a gap in the trends of digital development, the children. Swedes! is a mobile application for unaccompanied refugee children between with the purpose of informing and engaging them in the Swedish society. The application is based on important and researched information about the Swedish society used for integration of the Swedish Contingency Agency but repackaged and form to inspire and reach the children.
Emphasis during the project were on the user studies were interviews and focus groups as well as visits on asylum camps were performed. Together with Hedda Ottersten, I contributed with planning, performing and analysing the user studies as well as the graphic design. Richard Davisson is responsible for the programming of the application.
The result ended op in a prototype showing a new way on which information can be distributed in a easy, accessible and mor fun way than present solutions today. Even though this is just a prototype it has contributed in such a way that I together with Hanna Wekell at Digital Reliance have initiated a new project in cooperation with Save the Children in Sweden and the Swedish Contingency Agency to continue working with this question.
